The plate processing industry has emerged with a sudden rise. The plate processing industry in Dongming County is mainly concentrated in Datun Town and Matou Town. At present, there are 856 plate processing enterprises in the two towns, including 60 enterprises above designated size, which can process 4 million cubic metres of plates per year, produce 100,000 sets of furniture parts and wooden handicrafts, with an annual output value of 6.8 billion yuan.
