The Difference Between Oily Glue And Water-based Glue

- Dec 27, 2018 -

1. The water-based coating glue is made by emulsification of acrylic or polyurethane resin through special emulsification equipment using water as a solvent. Its biggest advantage is: many varieties, environmental protection, low prices, and now many coatings are made of water-soluble glue.

2. The oil-based coating glue is prepared by dissolving acrylic acid or polyurethane with an oil solvent (toluene, DMF, ketone, etc.) as a solvent. The advantage is that the film forming property is good, the fastness is good, and the PU can be attached with hot air glue, which is a coating glue which is generally used at present.

3. The disadvantage is that due to the use of oily solvents, there is a lack of environmental protection. In particular, the current price increase of oil has led to an increase in the price of oily solvents. Most of the coated adhesives use relatively poor oily solvents because of their high cost. , resulting in environmental protection is not up to standard.
