Introduction of MDF

Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) is a kind of density fiberboard. It is made of wood fiber or other vegetable fiber, prepared by fiber, applied with synthetic resin, and pressed under heat and pressure.

According to its density, it can be divided into high density fiberboard, medium density fiberboard and low density fiberboard. The nominal density of the MDF fiberboard ranges from 650Kg/m3 to 800Kg/m3.

Due to its uniform structure, fine material, stable performance, impact resistance and easy processing, the MDF is widely used in domestic furniture, decoration, musical instruments and packaging.

According to the density, it can be divided into: high density fiberboard, medium density fiberboard, low density fiberboard (medium density fiberboard density is 650 kg/m3 - 800 kg/m3, high density board density is ≥800 kg/m3).

The national standard (GB/T 11718-2009) is divided into: ordinary medium density fiberboard, furniture medium density fiberboard and load-bearing medium density board fiberboard.

According to the use, it can be divided into: furniture board, floor substrate, door board substrate, electronic circuit board, boring and milling board, moisture-proof board, fire board and line board.

The web sizes are commonly used 1220mm*2440mm and 1830mm*2440mm.

The main thicknesses are: 1mm, 2.4mm, 2.7mm, 3mm, 4.5mm, 4.7mm, 6mm, 8mm, 9mm, 12mm, 15mm, 16mm, 18mm, 20mm, 22mm, 25mm, 30mm

The surface of the MDF is smooth and flat, the material is fine, the performance is stable, the edge is firm, and the surface of the board is well decorated. However, the MDF has poor moisture resistance. In contrast, the nail holding force of the MDF is worse than that of the particle board, and if the screw is loosened after screwing, it is difficult to fix it at the same position.

The main advantage
    1. MDF is easy to finish. All kinds of paints and paints can be evenly coated on the MDF, which is the preferred substrate for paint effects.
    2. The MDF is also a beautiful decorative plate.
    3. a variety of veneer, printing paper, PVC, adhesive paper film, melamine impregnated paper and light metal sheet and other materials can be decorated on the surface of the MDF.
    4. The hard MDF board is punched and drilled, and can also be made into sound absorbing panels, which are used in the decoration engineering of buildings.
    5. physical properties are excellent, the material is uniform, there is no dehydration problem.

The main purpose
Mainly used for laminate flooring, door panels, partition walls, furniture, etc. MDF is mainly used for surface treatment of oil mixing process in home decoration; MDF is generally used for furniture, because the density of high density board is too high, very Easy to crack, so there is no way to make furniture. Generally, high-density boards are used for indoor and outdoor decoration, office and civil furniture, audio, and interior decoration of vehicles. They can also be used as materials for anti-static floors, wall panels, security doors, wall panels, partitions, etc. in computer rooms. . It is also a good material for packaging. In the future, it is used as a substrate for making laminate flooring.

Market expectation of MDF
    1. International market. High-density fiberboard is a new type of wood-based panel that originated in the United States in the 1990s. Since its inception, the product has been popular in the international market and is active in industrial fields such as building materials, furniture, household appliances, musical instruments, vehicles and shipbuilding. The scope of use has expanded year by year. The annual output of high-density fiberboard in the world is 85.6 million cubic meters, the demand is 137.5 million cubic meters, and it is growing at a rate of more than 16% per year. The market prospect is good.
    2. The Chinese market. According to incomplete statistics, China's high-density fiberboard production increased from less than 10,000 cubic meters in 1984 to 14.9 million cubic meters in 2000, and the demand reached 20.85 million cubic meters. It is foreseen that China's high-density fiberboard production capacity will reach 28.7 million cubic meters in 2010, with a demand of 36.9 million cubic meters. The market gap is large and the market prospect is very optimistic.
    3. With the improvement of people's living standards, people's health awareness, environmental awareness, and aesthetic awareness are constantly increasing. As a new type of wood-based panel, high-density fiberboard is the best substitute for wood, widely used in building materials, furniture, and household appliances. Electrical appliances, musical instruments, home decoration, etc., are a variety of new materials with high quality and low price, and high-density board products are well received by the people.
    4. The high-density fiberboard production and construction project is in line with the national industrial policy. It is not only the need to optimize the allocation of rural resources, increase the income of farmers, maximize the value of forest resources, but also the need to realize the second pioneering of forestry and meet the challenges of WTO entry. The implementation of this project can promote the further development of China's forestry, improve the enthusiasm and initiative of farmers in afforestation, and achieve a win-win situation for enterprises and farmers.
5, due to wood tension, fiberboard can be replaced, the market is large, the risk is small.
