(1) Introduction of Particle Board
Particle board is also called bagasse board. It is made of wood or other lignocellulosic material. It is a kind of wood-based board which is glued under the action of heat and pressure. It is also called particle board. Mainly used in the furniture manufacturing and construction industries and in the manufacture of trains and car bodies.
Because the structure of the particle board is relatively uniform and the processing performance is good, it can be processed into a large-format sheet according to the needs, and is a good raw material for making furniture of different specifications and styles. The finished particleboard does not need to be dried again, it can be used directly, and the sound absorption and sound insulation performance is also very good. However, it also has its inherent disadvantages. Because the edges are rough and easy to absorb moisture, the edge-sealing process made of particleboard is particularly important. In addition, due to the high density of particleboard, furniture made with it is also relatively heavy compared to other panels.
The particleboard is divided into three types according to the product: low density (0.25-0.45 g/cm3), medium density (0.45-0.60 g/cm3), and high density (0.60-1.3 g/cm3), but the density is usually Particleboard of 0.60 to 0.70 g/cm 3 . According to the slab structure, it is divided into three layers, three layers (including multiple layers) and three kinds of structures. According to the water resistance, it is divided into indoor water resistant and outdoor water resistant. According to the arrangement of shavings in the slab, there are two types of orientation type and random type. In addition, there are various particleboards made of non-wood materials such as cotton stalks, hemp stalks, bagasse, rice husks, etc., as well as cement wood boards, cement particle boards, etc. made of inorganic adhesive materials. Particleboard has many specifications, ranging in thickness from 1.6 mm to 75 mm, with a thickness of 19 mm. When assessing the quality of particleboard, the physical properties often considered are density, water content, water absorption, thickness expansion ratio, etc. The mechanical properties include static bending strength, vertical plate surface tensile strength (internal cementation strength), and nail holding force elasticity. Modulus, rigid modulus, etc., processability, machinability, paint finish, etc. Special purpose particleboards are also considered for electrical, acoustic, thermal and anti-corrosion, fire and flame retardant properties for different purposes.
(2) Industry development
China's particleboard production has undergone an iterative process from the rise of the 1980s to the decline of the 1990s and then to another rise in 2000. After the particle board was abandoned by the market due to poor quality and other reasons, many particleboard companies learned the lesson, introduced advanced foreign production lines and improved the level of technology, the quality of China's particleboard has been significantly improved, and it has been re-accepted by the market.
Many furniture manufacturers have re-selected particleboard as raw material. Moreover, oriented strand board has gradually been accepted by consumers. Therefore, in recent years, the demand for particleboard in China has increased year by year. With the increasing demand for particleboard at home and abroad, and the introduction of preferential policies by the state to encourage the development of the wood-based panel industry, it has created excellent conditions for the development of the particleboard industry.
From January to December 2006, China's above-scale particleboard manufacturing enterprises realized a total industrial output value of 7,072,059 thousand yuan, an increase of 26.10% over the same period of the previous year; realized cumulative product sales income of 6,666,291,000 yuan, an increase of 24.80% over the same period of the previous year; The accumulated total profit was 136,464,000 yuan, a decrease of 25.30% over the same period of the previous year.
From January to November 2007, China's above-scale particleboard manufacturing enterprises realized a total industrial output value of 9,643,566,000 yuan, an increase of 58.17% over the same period of the previous year; the accumulated product sales revenue reached 8,937,280 thousand yuan, an increase of 59.41% over the same period of the previous year; The accumulated total profit was 409,659 thousand yuan, an increase of 225.92% over the same period of the previous year.
China's particleboard industry is developing rapidly, but there are widespread problems of small scale, backward equipment and technology, and many companies do not pay attention to product quality. The dust produced by bark and MDF is used as raw material for particleboard. Therefore, The particleboard produced in China is generally of poor quality, and there is also a widespread problem of excessive formaldehyde.
In this situation, the particleboard industry must rapidly improve the quality of products and reduce costs, actively participate in market competition, and the market space for products is still huge. In addition to ensuring the supply of raw materials and improving the quality of products, enterprises must increase technological innovation, vigorously recycle waste wood, and achieve a circular economy. Efforts to develop new uses of particleboard, especially to increase the research on oriented strand board and the promotion of particleboard use. In order to improve the quality of particle board and reduce costs and improve research and development capabilities, it is necessary to increase the scale of the project and reorganize the small particle board factory. , reflecting economies of scale.
The level of particleboard per capita consumption in China is still relatively low, but as China's pace of building a well-off society advances, the demand for wood-based panel products continues to increase. The investment of 280 billion yuan in the Beijing Olympic Games, the direct investment of Shanghai Shibo will be more than 25 billion yuan, and the investment in fixed assets of Chinese urban public utilities during the 11th Five-Year Plan period will exceed 1 trillion yuan, which will bring opportunities to the development of China's particleboard industry. . Therefore, China's particleboard consumption is expected to increase year by year.
